Creating PDF/A Formats

• Creates PDF files directly in the scanner
• Format PDF/A for long-term archived storage
• Metadata and key words for simple archiving and classification

The PDF generator adds PDF/A output to the list of supported formats. After the software installation, the scanner internally creates the PDF/A files. The operator simply chooses PDF in the list of available formats in the menu area “Features”.
The documents will automatically be saved in PDF/A format. This internationally accepted standard for long-term archiving guarantees preservation of the visual appearance of document images, independent of the device or software version or the art of reproduction. This transparent and versatile data format offers long lasting, uneditable and universal readability.

PDF/A Generator: Long-term Archiving and Easy Document Classification

Before scanning, the operator defines metadata such as title, author, key words, date of creation or modification etc. in the menu area “Options”. This content will be saved directly in the PDF document. This information allows automatic classification by archiving.
The software option PDF generator enhances and complements the Scan2Net® functionality. The software for the option is available for purchasing and for download online in the Image Access Customer Service Portal.
